Violation of First Amendment Rights ..???

In two of my previous post I discussed the Jodi Arias murder trial and how there is going to be a media coverage ban on the penalty phrase retrial well here comes the objection from the news media outlets stating there first amendment rights are being violated ...

"The public is deprived of its First Amendment right to attend criminal proceedings," Bodney said. "The public has a right to be heard before they're just locked out." The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees such basic rights as freedom of speech and the press.

The judge decided to ban any media coverage of the next phrase of Ms. Arias trial because of all the national attention her murder trial got and her defense team argued that the attention has had an effect on a potential jurors and may lead to an impartial jury which is a violation of her rights ....who rights are really being violated here?

Do you think the recent shutdowns will have an effect on the GOP in the next upcoming election...discussed in a earlier post i talked about the dislike of the GOP by americans during the shutdown and some have even stated the remove of all GOP members in congress and in the house

Fasting For Immigration ..

I found this article very interesting.... immigrants taking a different strategy to increase immigration talks/reforms in the government

Some immigrants are fasting ....

The push for immigration reform has become a key topic in todays discussion , how should immigration reform be implemented etc.

One thing that needs to be looked at is the pathway to citizenship or naturalization...there are many immigrants who have lived here in America for 10+ years and are still illegal in the eyes of the government ...is this right??
