ReplyDeleteSuch confessions will certainly continue to add to the legal system's confusion as to how to deal with cyberspace and whether such a public declaration can actually result in prosecution or should be regarded simply as an expression of free speech. There are many things said online that could constitute as crimes (hate speech, threats, etc) and so how seriously should the law take them given the detachment of the users from one another. It will be interesting to see how this phenomenon impacts the legal system in the near future.
